NAME

strvoip_mknod - create or remove STRVOIP device nodes

SYNOPSIS

strvoip_mknod [options]
strvoip_mknod [options] {-r|--remove}
strvoip_mknod {-h|--help}
strvoip_mknod {-V|--version}
strvoip_mknod {-C|--copying}

DESCRIPTION

strvoip_mknod
is a small utility program that can be used to create or remove primary STREAMS VOIP device nodes.

OPTIONS

-r, --remove
Remove STREAMS VOIP device nodes instead of creating them.
-h, --help
When this option is encountered, print usage information to stdout and exit.
-V, --version
When this option is encountered, print version information to stdout and exit.
-C, --copying
When this option is encountered, print copyright and copying information to stdout and exit.

DIAGNOSTICS

An exit status of zero (0) indicates that the command was successful; one (1) indicates that an error occurred and a diagnostic message is printed on stderr; two (2) indicates that the option syntax was in error and a diagnostic message is printed on stderr.

The --quiet option suppresses the printing of diagnostic messages to stderr.

NOTICES

strvoip_mknod is created when the STREAMS VOIP package is configured. A version of strvoip_mknod from one version of the STREAMS VOIP package release might be incompatible with that of another version.

EXAMPLES

The following example will create all necessary STREAMS VOIP primary device nodes:

#> strvoip_mknod

The following example will remove all STREAMS VOIP primary device nodes:

#> strvoip_mknod -r

DEVICES

strvoip_mknod creates or removes the following devices:

FILES

/usr/sbin/strvoip_mknod
contains the strvoip_mknod command.

BUGS

strvoip_mknod has no known bugs.

COMPATIBILITY

strvoip_mknod is an LiS-specific command. strvoip_mknod is provided for compatibility with LiS with the following portability considerations:

LiS does not document long options. Portable programs should avoid the use of long options.
---
Options --help and --version are provided for compatibility with GNU coding standards; --copying, OpenSS7 coding standards.
