T400P-SS7, E400P-SS7 Device Driver

Description: OpenSS7 Documentation Performance.

We tested these cards on an old single-core i686 Pentium III running at 1GHz with 96 SS7 signalling links running at 1 Erlang, 1 flag between frames, under Linux Fast-STREAMS: the CPU utilization was less than 5%.

We have not seen a need to performance test these cards since. Their performance impact on a modern multi-core system is negligible. Running a raw channel has even less performance impact than running SS7 Soft-HDLC.
