This component was formerly part of the Linux Fast-STREAMS package, but is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS Terminals (strtty) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS-based terminals an pseudo-terminals. This package only works with Linux Fast-STREAMS, as the LiS Stream Head is incapable of supporting terminals. The package provides a pty driver, ptem, pckt, ldterm and ttcompat modules. This package was fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package in 2009. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS XNS (strxns) Release

Historical: Implementation of the X/Open XNS networking services for CDI, DLPI, NPI and TPI including header files and documentation for OSI conforming providers. This package was fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package in 2009. It is no longer supported as a separate package.

STREAMS XNET (strxnet) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of the X/Open XNS/XTI libxnet library. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS Sockets (strsock) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of the X/Open XNS Sockets libsocket library for Linux Fast-STREAMS. It provides the sockmod module, socksys driver, and libsocket library. This package is only applicable to Linux Fast-STREAMS, as the LiS Stream Head is incapable of supporting sockets. Most of these components were formerly part of the SS7 package and are currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS INET (strinet) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS over Sockets, providing Transport Provider Interface (TPI) access along the lines of X/Open XNS/XTI for TCP, UDP and raw IP sockets. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS SCTP (strsctp) Release

Historical: STREAMS implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP). This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS ISO/OSI (striso) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS ISO/OSI providing TP0 through TP4, XOT, ISOT (RFC 1006), ITOT, CMOT, LAPB, X.25, ISOLAN. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS Channels (strchan) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS Channels providing multiplex and channel drivers for TDM cards supported by OpenSS7. This package provides an mx multiplex driver for the V401P card and other supported TDM cards. It also provides a ch channel module, a cd communications device module providing HDLC and SS7 DAEDR/DAEDT, as well as LAPB, LAPF, LAPD, LAPM modules that can be pushed over cd streams. Also planned is a zaptel multiplexing driver that will permit OpenSS7 drivers to be used with zaptel and PBX systems using the zaptel driver such as Asterisk, Yate, OpenPBX, FreePBX, etc. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS X.25 (strx25) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 implementation of STREAMS X.25 and Frame Relay providing X.25 PAD and CONS including XOT, XOS, LLC. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently part of the OpenSS7 package.

STREAMS ISDN (strisdn) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 STREAMS implementation of ISDN providing a Q.931 driver isdn following the call control interface. This component was formerly part of the SS7 package and is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS SS7 (strss7) Release

Historical: SS7, ISDN, SIGTRAN and VoIP stack components. This package originally contained all four of these major components, however, the ISDN component has been moved to the strisdn package; SIGTRAN, to the sigtran package; and VoIP, to the strvoip package. This package also originally contained sundry other components unrelated to SS7 that were moved to other packages. This package primarily only provided traditional SS7 components. This package is currently fully incorporated into the OpenSS7 package. It is no longer maintained as a separate package.

STREAMS SIGTRAN (sigtran) Release

Historical: OpenSS7 STREAMS implementation of SIGTRAN, including m2pa, m2ua, m3ua, sua, tua, iua, dua, v5ua, gr303ua and associated utilities.
